2019 Jewellery Style Guide

Thinking of investing in a few new pieces this year? Whether you're looking for a simple style update or a complete overhaul of your jewellery collection, there is plenty of inspiration to be found in the wonderful world of fashion. From luxurious layered looks to more natural laidback vibes, we take a look at just some of this year's biggest jewellery trends.

BEACH BABE

Beat the January blues and embrace your inner beach babe this year. Shell-inspired jewellery was all over the SS19 runways, with tropical prints ruling the catwalk at Michael Kors and Etro (pictured) taking cue from laid back Californian surf style. Jewellery followed suit with models wearing shell earrings bordered with pearls and beautiful cowry necklaces.

Easy to channel into your everyday look, embrace this boho trend with contemporary cala inspired shapes from Rachel Galley, abalone shell accents from Astley Clarke and pretty pearl pieces from Jersey Pearl.

LONG & LAYERED

Forget 'less is more', our new mantra is 'more is more'! Designer's piled on the layers to create wonderful statement pieces on the catwalks. Vintage vibes were seen at Alexander McQueen, unusual stones at Giambattista Valli but it was Paco Rabanne (pictured) who translated this trend into an easy to replicate everyday style.

The key here is to experiment! Mix your metals, combine lengths and try combinations you wouldn't have thought could possibly work together. From venetian-inspired pieces from ChloBo to strikingly simple styles from Shaun Leane, the only limit is your imagination!

LIGHT AS A FEATHER

From the ocean to the sea, fashion continues to draw inspiration from the natural world in 2019 with feathers looking set to be another big trend. A symbol of truth and spirituality, feathers were seen across the runway at Louis Vuitton, Loewe and Longchamp (pictured). From subtle touches to statement plumes, feathers are an easy to way to express your individuality this year.

Add delicate feather motifs to your look with easy to wear pieces from Dower & Hall and Links of London, or mix and match with boho pieces from ChloBo. For a stripped back interpretation of this trend, opt for the Shaun Leane White Feather Ear Wraps.
